Pozza del Pacifico is a small inn located near the town of Parrita on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We also have a Water Park, BBQs, Snack Bar and Camping areas. We are located just off Highway 34 on the edges of a palm plantation and only 600 meters from the ocean and Playa Bandera, which boasts expansive sandy beaches, decent surfing and no crowds. We are less than a 3-hour drive from San Jose International Airport, 40 minutes from Jaco, and less than that from the city of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. Driving directions are on contact us page. We are located in the country away from the tourist areas, but within easy reach of everything that Costa Rica has to offer. We offer a relaxing place that is suitable for the entire family. After your stay here, you will return home with a native understanding of "tranquilo" and "pura vida". The town of Parrita is a few kilometers away and has banks, grocery stores, pharmacies, post office, numerous restaurants and other stores for your basic needs. Taxi service is available from the Inn to town for a reasonable fee. There is a "pulparia" on the beach which is both a market and restaurant. There are several other small eateries along Playa Bandera. There is bus service to Parrita, check the links page for more information. There is a small airport in Quepos that offers daily flights from San Jose. Renting a car gives you the most freedom and you can make reservations online with any of the major rental agencies. Driving is an adventure, but half the fun is getting there. For the less adventurous travelers there are private transportation services that can provide you with an English speaking driver and guide. |
