Driving Directions: From San Jose Intl. Airport- take Hwy. 1 towards San Ramon. Continue to exit for Los Suenos and Atenas. Turn left and follow the billboards for Los Suenos, a Marriott Resort near Jaco. You will go through the mountains, the cities of Atenas and Oratino. After Oratino take Hwy. 34 to Jaco. You are halfway here. The road is in pretty good shape, but keep a lookout for potholes. More mountains and you will go over the Tarcoles Rivers (observation point for crocodiles). You will go past several small towns, past the turn off for Los Suenos, Jaco, Playa Hermosa and Estirillos. Keep going- you're almost here. You'll come to palm plantations. Notice the signs for Playa Bandera. Exit the highway right at our sign, there is an Auto Color shop on the right and a restaurant on the left of the highway. Follow this dirt road for about 5 km. You'll see signs for us or "Alex". We are on the left side of the road next to the soccer field. Don't worry- it's easier to get here than it sounds. It should take about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get here from the airport- depending on the weather or traffic. We don't recommend driving at night. Call us if you have any problems 779-6493. |
